Chatbot Project Task

Overview

What you'll be doing

Design and develop an AI Chatbot prototype to interact with WaveRider's customers.

Project Task

As a first step for this project, we encourage you to open the Python Notebook, where you’ll find a simple functional code that creates an interactive chatbot. This notebook is stored in Google Colab.

Google Colab

Google Colab is an online text editor where you will be developing your chatbot. This is a free text editor that does not require you to install anything locally, which is why we’ve deemed Google Colab to be one of your best choices for this project.

However, Google Colab is limited to Python, the most popular NLP development language. If you’re using another programming language, you may have to use another text editor such as VSCode, Sublime, Notepad++, etc.

Log in or sign up (registration is free) by using your Google account to start building your chatbot. You may access Google Colab through the link below:

You will use prompts in platforms like ChatGPT where you will be presented with interface where the prompt will be how you will generate a response. We'll go into more detail on how to do this in the project next.

So let's go to the next section to get started on the project task.

Python Notebook

Once you’re set up, open the Python Notebook below and play around with the chatbot. When you’re comfortable with how it works, start expanding the chatbot’s interactivity by adding more information about WaveRide, which you can find in the FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) below.

Hint: You may be able to use ChatGPT prompts to expand your knowledge base more efficiently.

Should you get stuck and need some help, post your questions on the Community page.

If you haven't set up go to Module 1 - Prompt Engineering - Project Page for full directions on how to setup your free access.
